On 19th June 2023 Department of Psychiatry, Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Karaikal conducted a CME on Autism at Leacture Theater 4 at NewAcademic Block.Dr S.V.SriLakshmi DPM.,MRC.,PSY., Consultant Child Psychiatrist, Appollo Hospital, Chennai was the Guest Speaker of the CME Programme. Our Dean Prof. Dr.C.Gunasekaran inagurated the CME Programme and delivered the presidential address. The CME program started with prayer song followed by lamp lighting event. Prof.Dr.R.T.Kannapiran, M.D., D.P.M,Professer & Head, Department of Psychiatry welcomed the dignitaries of the event and Introduced the guest speaker. Dr S.V.Srilakshmi gave Lectures on topics 1."Non-Pharmacological management of child PSychiatric condotions" and 2."Diagnosis and Management of autism spectrum disorder". Felicitation Address was given by our Medical Superintendent Dr.K.Cheran , & Resident Medical Officer Dr.Sriram. Dr.Rajesh Krishnan MD (Psychiatry) delivered Vote of Thanks. Faculty members from various departments, Post Graduate Students including Under Graduate Students in large numbers had participated the CME Programme. The programme concluded with National Anthem.
