Inaugural Ceremony of New Academic Block 02-02-2021
The Year 2021 was an important milestone for our Vinayaka Mission’s Medical College, Karaikal as it is entering the 25th glorious Silver Jubilee Year. Inaugural ceremony of our Newly Constructed Academic Block were organized to mark this important occasion The formal Inaugural Ceremony of our New Academic Block was held on 2nd February, 2021. The new Academic Building was inaugurated by Honourable Vice President – VMRF - Mr.N.V. Chandrasekhar Sir, and Honourable Madam Vice President & Managing Trustee – VMRF, Mrs.Arunadevi Chandrasekhar, at 9.11 AM on 2nd February, 2021 in presence of Dean Dr.G.Ambujam, Dr.G.Vijaikumar Nair, Vice-Principal, Students of Class 2020-2021 (150 Batch New Students), Parents of the Students, Administration Staff and other dignitaries. Office Warming Ceremony was started with Homa and Poojah. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was presided by our Honourable Vice President and Madam Vice President Dean Dr. G.Ambujam delivered the Keynote welcome address. It was followed by the speech of our Honourable Vice President, VMRF & DU and Honourable Madam Vice President, VMRF & DU, Salem. Sir and Madam had mentioned about the objectives of construction of new Academic building, services to be provided at new Academic Block and modern equipments and machineries which are to be installed in near future. Our Honourable Vice President had conveyed his thanks to the VMMC - Administration Team Members, Building Contractor & His Team whose dedication and sincerity made this huge building up to the satisfaction. Honourable Vice President also extended his appreciation to all the COVID-19 front line dedicated workers for their selfless service to the greater community which is helping us all get through these tough times. The Newly joined 1st MBBS Batch Students were welcomed into the medical profession during White Coat Ceremony held on the same day. Honourable Vice President & Madam Vice President delivered their motivating speech to the newest students during the Freshers White Coat Ceremony. Madam Vice President emphasized on the importance of medical profession and the responsibilities of the newly joined medical students. Dr.G.Ambujam, Dean delivered the keynote welcome address. The white coat along with stethoscope kit was given for each student at the White Coat Ceremony. New Students recited the Hippocratic Oath in the event followed by Vote of thanks delivered by our Medical Superintendent, Dr.R.Rajendran.
