Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Karaikal recognize and admit the importance of extra and co-curricular activities in the whole well rounded growth of its students personality and had conducted vivacious calendar of cultural & Sports activities that showcases talent in Performing Fine Arts. Realizing the importance of it and to Spread out the talents of individual students apart from academics, Vinayaka Missions Medical College celebrated its College Day VIBRANTZ-2K19 on 15th July, 2019at our Campus Auditorium. An extensive opportunity offered to our students to come up with pool of talent in dance, music, small film making and fashion show.
VIBARANTZ - 2K19 celebration started at 10.30AM onwards. The culturals started with the lighting of Divine lamp by the Honourable Vice President of VMRF, Mr.N.V.Chandrasekhar, Hon'ble Trustee of VMRF Mrs. Arunadevi Chandrasekar, Karaikal District Collector Mr.A.Vikranth Raja, IAS.
In presence of our respected Dean Dr.Ambujam, Dr.Maroof Syed, Medical Superintendent, Dr.Esvararaj, Resident Medical Officer. Mr.K.Sabarikirivasan, General Manager and Mr.SR.Anandhan, Chief Administrative Officer(CAO) our Honourable Vice President of VMRF, Mr.N.V.Chandrasekhar, and Hon'ble Trustee of VMRF Mrs. Arunadevi Chandrasekar inaugurated and ribbon cutting ceremony held. Officially the doors of the following units are opened for students and patient care.
1.New Dr.B.C.Roy Lecture Hall,
2.New Palliative Care unit,
3.New Post-Operative Ward and
4.New Skill Laboratories
The function was presided over by the following dignitaries. Honourable Vice President Mr.N.V.Chandrasekhar and Hon'ble Trustee Mrs. Arunadevi Chandrasekar, emphasized on the need for research activities and to be self-motivated for fulfilling the dreams of Medical graduates and as a token of appreciation to promote research scholars, cash prizes of Rs.50,000 was presented to research scholars which includes our Senior faculty and Associate Professor. All Administrators, Heads of the Departments, Staff and Students (Under - Graduates and Post - Graduates) participated in the function. Our Beloved Dean Dr.G.Ambujam, presented the annual report for the academic year 2018-2019 highlighting the achievements of the institution, faculties and Students and Initiatives taken by the institution in promoting academic excellence & health care.
In order to bring out our students talents in Fine Arts and to inculcate the team spirit, the College Magazine committee team was formed under the leadership of Dr.K.Saravanan, Professor & Head, Department of Orthopaedics. "MARUVI-2019" - College Magazine & Department of Forensic Medicine Magazine was also released in the amidst of the event by our Hon'ble Vice President Mr.N.V.Chandrasekhar and Hon'ble Trustee Mrs. Arunadevi Chandrasekar and Karaikal District Collector Mr.A.Vikranth Raja, IAS.
The winners of Academic Excellence, Cultural & Sports events were honoured by Hon'ble President Mr.N.V.Chandrasekhar and Hon'ble Trustee of VMRF, Mrs. Arunadevi Chandrasekar madam and Karaikal District Collector Mr.A.Vikranth Raja, IAS.
After the inauguration and prize distribution events, the cultural events like Classical Dance, Group Dance, Variety Show, Fashion show, College Band and DJ were held. All students, staff and parents including childrens had a good feast for their eyes and ears.
The celebration had a splendid end with the DJ event with fury of light.
